Chris Crook and Imogen Miller bring the perfect mix to the training operation. Christine has significant training experience and Imogen has grown up with horses having worked as a stable hand and track work rider for over 15 years. Leading Tasmanian jockey Brendon McCoull is also a big part of the team. Brendon and Imogen ride all of their horse’s track work which is a great advantage for them as they can be intimately close with every horse and know exactly where each is at during their preparations. The advantage of having a person on the ground and one on the horses back makes the training partnership extremely valuable.

The facilities accessible to train their horses are nothing short of first class and the nearby beach is a huge advantage for both improving the fitness of their horses and for rehabilitation - mentally and physically. The beach provides them with the ability to aerobically work their horses as effectively as they would on the track, without the added concern of joint and concussion related injuries - a perfect tool for those horses needed a forgiving training surface.

The teams flag ship horse, Tshahitsi, winning the Listed Country Championship has really boosted the profile of the stable and the partnership believe big things are still to come. Tshahitsi was also the team’s first big winner together in Tasmania when he won the $100,000 Newmarket Handicap in Hobart in 2016. He also won the Echuca Cup in grand style which was also a great thrill for the team and another string to the bow of Crook and Miller Racing.

There has never been a better time to get on board with Chris and Imogen.
